Jogging-Running Log no. 1: Using Google Earth to Plot Run-Jog Route
Saturday, July 11th, 2009This past month, I decided to go jogging and running at least twice a week. On top of that, I also lift weights. And mind you, I’m also trying to learn Pilates now. All in the name of health and fitness. As I progress in this kind of lifestyle makeover, I will also explore a healthier diet–low in fat and high in good carbs. I want to learn how to reduce belly fat and this is certainly the way to do it.
I woke up at 6 AM today, made my bed, turned the laptop on. Then read my daily devotional. My phone’s alarm was set to 5AM but I woke up an hour later. Well, I wasn’t able to sleep early last night so I tried to make up for an hour of sleep.
I plotted the route of my run and jog via Google Earth. The Google Earth Digital Globe is really a good resource for runners and joggers. You would know exactly how many kilometers you will run. You’ll see my jogging route in the screenshot below:
