Why I Would Never Buy a Havaiana or a Crocs!
Tuesday, August 12th, 2008Last Friday, I went to Robinsons Galleria at Ortigas Avenue. I planned to buy a decent enough pair of slippers. I was thinking of getting myself a pair of Havaianas, Crocs or Bench. I explored several shops looking at slippers of different shapes, sizes and colors.
I realized, not all slippers are the same! Some are called “tsinelas” while others are “flip-flops.” The really privileged ones are called “havaianas” and “crocs”! Who ever thought that class distinctions would spill over into slippers!
