Monday, June 30th, 2008

Personal development is a journey. You cannot rush it but you can make significant progress if you follow the lessons that others have learned. This way, you do not go on a hit and miss strategy. The best teacher is experience, so they say. But in personal development, it would be better if you learned from the experiences of others and bring your own experience to the table.

How to Boost Productivity

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

This post is not really what I planned to write about today. It’s just that I feel bogged down by distractions. When I sit down start working, my instant messenger beeps and I start chatting with a friend. My mobile phone rings. Suddenly, I have a big compulsion to check my blog, my email and my favorite websites. Without realizing it, these activities cost me anywhere between two to four hours. Are there special lessons on how to boost productivity?

Imagine the cost of these activities to my productivity? My question is how to boost productivity?

Is it just a matter of attitude and positive thinking? Or do I need to alter my deep-seated perceptions about my work? Is it about my habits?

productivity, how to boost productivity, personal efficiency, personal effectivenessI’m not aiming for productivity just for the sake of productivity. I want to accomplish the important things right away so I can have more time for my blogs, and for other stuff that do not pay.

Since I was looking for ways to increase my output and manage my time wisely, I’ve come up with several tips on how to boost productivity. Yeah, these tips are more for my use but I’m pretty sure that somebody out in the blogsphere is gonna need these tips, too.
